Medical Data Consultancy
Click Innovate have assisted in the development of a new cutting edge data service for NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence).
The new “Clinical Knowledge Summaries” service provides summaries of the best available evidence and practical guidance for GPs and doctors. The information is presented in such a way that search engines can understand the semantic meaning of it. The service also provides a website that is optimised for mobiles and tablets (known as responsive web design).
Dr Martin Duerden, GP and expert advisor on prescribing for the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), said:
CKS is a brilliant product and should be known and used by all GPs and doctors training in general practice.
The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is used with standard vocabularies to allow search engines to understand the content of the webpages, this is a significant step forward in how medical data for NICE is stored, represented and programatically interpreted.
