iPhone and Android Apps for the NHS launched

appThe BNF iPhone and Android apps, developed by Click Innovate have been launched.

The app has attracted an immediately large number of downloads, positive feedback and “5 star” reviews on both iTunes and Google Play.

With 1000s of downloads in the last 24 hours, the apps look set to be extremely popular amongst NHS staff in England, such as pharmacists, doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who prescribe and administer medicines.

The main function of the app is to improve access to the British National Formulary, the “BNF” and that requirement has been fulfilled with the app already being used throughout England.

Here is some of the early feedback from the Apple iTunes App Store:

This is by the far the best iteration of the BNF. Beautifully designed, well laid out and best of all it is FREE. To those behind this app. at NICE, many thanks and greatly appreciated. Please keep up the good work.

Beautiful app, good interface. Search function is efficient, quick find dosing and side effects tabs are really useful. Obviously someone has been thinking about the end user. Breadcrumbs good idea.
